Getting started
Use Option A to set up ArcGIS and digitise an area, then export your attribute table. Use Option B to try the application with the sample spreadsheet.
- Download the ArcGIS set-up manual: Download PDF.
- Follow the manual to configure the attribute table schema in ArcGIS.
- Digitise the area by adding Natural Flood Management (NFM) features and Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) habitats.
- Export the attribute table to XLSX.

- Download the sample spreadsheet above.
- Continue to Step 1.
Step 1: Create an account
- From the navigation pane, select Account > Register.
- Enter a username and password.
- Click “Click here to confirm your account.” (A real email sender will be used once the application is fully released.)
- After confirmation, sign in with your credentials.
Step 2: Create a catchment
- Click Catchments from the navigation.
- Select Add Catchment.
- Enter a Catchment Name and configure other fields if required.
- Select Save.
Step 3: Import data
- Click Import Data from the navigation.
- Select the catchment from the Select Catchment drop-down.
- Select Upload Excel File.
- Choose the ArcGIS export or the sample spreadsheet.
- Select Add Data to Catchment to save the data.
- After import, the application navigates to the report automatically.
Step 4: Modify feature sizes (optional)
- Open the Manage Data tab.
- Select the catchment from the drop-down.
- Select the Edit button for the relevant row.
- Adjust the feature size as needed and select Save.
Step 5: Modify grants included in the report (optional)
- Open the Manage Data tab.
- Select the catchment from the drop-down.
- Select the Inspect Funding Breakdown button for the relevant row.
- Check or uncheck the required grants.
- Go to the Report tab and press Refresh to see the updated grant values.
